VOLUNTEER

Two hours. A pair of gloves. A piece of history protected.

Mallory Cemetery has stood in Williamson County since the 1830s, a quiet witness to nearly two centuries of Tennessee history. But history doesn't preserve itself. It takes people who show up, roll up their sleeves and care enough to do something about it. Whether you're here for community service hours, a sense of purpose or simply love for this place and the people buried within it, there is a place for you on our team.

For some individuals, volunteering presents an opportunity to actively contribute to their communities. When you show up for a Community Workday at Mallory Cemetery, you're not just trimming weeds, you're restoring dignity to a burial ground. You'll stand where a Revolutionary War patriot was laid to rest, work alongside neighbors who care about this community and leave knowing that what you did will last for generations.

COMMUNITY WORKDAYS

Community Workdays are held on selected Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., March through May. In just two hours, you'll help restore the grounds that surround some of the oldest burial markers in Williamson County, including the resting place of Roger Mallory, a patriot of the American Revolutionary War.

Tasks include light landscaping, litter removal and gentle headstone cleaning. No experience is necessary, just comfortable clothes, sunscreen and a willingness to contribute. Drinks and snacks provided.

It is a great opportunity to meet new people. Community service hours are available and documented for students and volunteers who need them.
